I believe in empowering individuals to overcome OCD with the right information, tools and guidance, so you have everything you need to reach your goals.

I recognise people need different levels of support and have different budgets, so I offer offer several ways of working together – all of which are designed to help you be in charge and overcome OCD.  Many people assume that 1-2-1 sessions are the best option, and I do offer these, but this is not the only way to help yourself.  Take a look at the options here and see what you think might work best for you.  If you are still undecided you are welcome to book an introductory call below.

1. COMMUNITY

My online, low-cost therapeutic community WHATEVER OCD offers you the chance to share the journey of overcoming OCD with a group of like-minded individuals.

Access treatment videos, support from me and others in the community, live Q&As and keep yourself on track whilst you take the risk of behaving differently and kick OCD’s butt!

YES, PLEASE! SHOW ME THE WAY

2. GROUP sessions

Although your OCD may seem very specific to you or ‘different’ from other people’s, working in a small group provides some invaluable therapeutic benefits, including:
  • Shame attacking:  OCD loves you to hide your worries, keeping you in its grip, telling you there’s something wrong with you, this isn’t OCD etc. Working alongside others who have OCD helps normalise your experience and is powerful in helping you let go of any shame.
  • Skills Development: Group settings provide a safe space to practice new skills and coping mechanisms. It’s often easier to understand how to use a tool through someone else’s experience and then apply it to yourself.
  • Peer Support: Connecting with others facing similar challenges, fosters a sense of belonging and reduces feelings of isolation.
  • Accountability and Motivation: Sharing progress and setting goals within a group increases motivation and accountability. Members encourage and inspire each other to stay committed.

3.  Individual sessions

I offer a limited number of individual online sessions to help people overcome OCD and maintain good practice.

I would usually recommend weekly sessions to start, but I have a flexible approach and we can discuss the best solution for you.

Sessions are available during office hours Monday-Thursday, cost £275 and last approximately 50 minutes.

Why join the community?

The bigger question, is why would you not join the community?!

The community allows people to access my experience and expertise in a low-cost but effective format.

It is entirely possible to overcome OCD without engaging in expensive treatment, but it is essential to have access to the right information.  However, as you probably know, OCD can be very sneaky and it can be hard to utilise the information without OCD getting in the way and trying to put you off track! So, by joining the community you will have someone with expertise in your corner – you can ask questions, discuss ideas and learn from me and each other.  The classroom section allows you to learn more at your own pace or you may want to attend some of the live calls to motivate you, discuss specific issues and super-charge yourself against OCD.

Input, information and suggestions are in line with best practice treatment for OCD.  You’ll gain the tools, insights, and support you need to take back control of your life, and create lasting change. It’s there for the taking if you want it!

The calls are designed to support you in problem-solving, putting concepts into practice and navigating challenges.

There is a maximum of 4 people per call and everyone is there for the same reason – to get help in learning to deal with unwanted thoughts, images, sensations, feelings and urges differently, so they can get on with enjoying their lives without OCD bothering them! So, you will be in the company of like-minded people who understand what you are going through and you will all be working towards the same goal.

When you join the call I briefly check in with each person and ask them what they want help with in the session. You will be surprised to see how often there is a cross over!

Group calls run for up to an hour. If there are fewer than 4 participants the length may be adjusted accordingly.

This is a common concern and one of the most compelling arguments for why groups sessions are so valuable in the fight against OCD.

By hearing others talk about their struggles you will recognise how OCD works in pretty much the same way for everyone, regardless of the content.

This goes a long way to helping you take the risk of letting go of listening to the content of your OCD and empowers you to be able to deal with your OCD if it suddenly switches to a new theme, which is one of its favourite tricks when it realises you are starting to get the better of it!

The short answer is that you don’t! It’s impossible to know things for sure, which is one of the biggest challenges often faced when you have OCD. OCD demands certainty, which, of course, is an endless pursuit as you never get it.

I could tell you that you should definitely choose one of my options and that it is absolutely right for you, but even then OCD would only be a reassured for a little while before it found a way to get you doubting again.

Choosing to stick up for yourself and go against your OCD by taking the risk of committing to overcoming it, whichever way you choose, could be your first step in fighting back and learning to take healthy risks and live with uncertainty.  If it’s worked for others, why shouldn’t it work for you?

Many people believe individual sessions are preferable because of the one-to-one nature.  Although individual sessions are effective, I do not believe they are necessary for recovery.

In my experience, the combination of self-directed learning and group work is equally as effective and efficient as individual sessions, as well as being more time and cost effective.

If finances are limited, then joining the community is a great option – packed with resources, you can ask questions, troubleshoot and join calls for more direction and information.
