Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), London

CBT is a psychological treatment for emotional and behavioural difficulties. It aims to identify and alter unhelpful thinking and behaviours that maintain emotional problems. At the beginning of therapy I’ll be asking you what you want to achieve from coming and how you want to change and develop. I’ll be asking you questions to help you consider alternative ways of looking at things and we’ll discuss ideas of how to overcome problems and move towards your goals.

CBT has been extensively researched and has demonstrated its clinical effectiveness for a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety and obsessional disorders.
